I'm really stuck with this hand.

I'm playing an online $10, 10 seater satellite. The top 3 players qualify, there are 4 players left.

Players A and B seem to be very competent players. They have been making all the right moves in the right places. Player C looks pretty average. I've been playing very tight all night.

Stack sizes are;
Player A $4000
Player B $6000
Player C $3000
Me $2000

We then start to go through the phase where someone raises and everyone else folds. This lasted about twenty minutes. The blinds were 100/200.
A quick history of this play is as follows;
7 3 offsuit-I'm the SB-Player B raises, I fold
5 3 offsuit-I'm the Button-Player C goes all-in, I fold
2 5 offsuit-I fold
6 8 offsuit- Player A raises, I fold
Q 8 offsuit- Player B and C fold, I raise all-in, BB folds
7 4 offsuit- I fold
2 3 offsuit- I fold
K 3 offsuit-SB calls, I raise all-in, SB folds
4 6 offsuit- Player C raises, I fold
9 2 suited-I fold
K 9 off suit-I raise all-in, others fold.
J 3 offsuit- Player A raises all-in, I fold
Now this is wher it gets interesting.
I'm the SB and get dealt AJ offsuit. Player B (the big stack) raises, player C (button) calls-which puts him all-in.
I'm the small stack, as soon as i get the cards, i decide i'm going all-in, however as the player C also goes all-in, i decide i might make the last three if he loses. (remember that only 3 qualify for the next round).Should i of called or was i right to fold?

Based on your read on the table (no hands going to showdown, everybody playing very tight and careful) your AJ seems to be in bad shape here.

With even payouts I'd say this is a simple routine fold.

Auto fold.

easy fold... you're not trying to get first... you're trying to outlast 1 more person.... and 1 person just went all in...

the only way I'd think of calling is if I had player C covered... that way if you both got eliminated they'd place you 3rd and him 4th...
