New to forum. Just picked up Super System II, man is it a beast. I've been playing online for about a year, play mostly at pokerroom and FT. Will this book help me improve my online game?

It can do. Personally, I didn't get much from it and I think it's best buying seperate books on all the games rather than a basic overview like SS2 is.

I think the best you can expect out of any book is a better understanding of the game and others thinking. In the short term I don’t believe they help because they mess with your head and that translates into trying different things. However you need to do these things to become a better poker player. When your game settles again, you may incorporate some of you newfound knowledge or it may just translate into a better understanding, either way IMO it helps you improve. I have read SS1 now for the 6 time but I believe LH & NL are basically the same as SS2.

Much appreciated guys, thx. I'm going to pick my spots with reading this. Probably focus on limit and no-limit holdem and Stud.
