Phewww It's not just me then!

Was at the final table of a $16 double shootout, already made the money places and was sitting nicely placed to go on to win the seat.

I've already fired them off an email asking what they propose to do in way of compensation.

Obviously the starting point is the money i've already won, plus a share of the seat amongst the remaining players...

but i'm gonna angle for a seat anyway Wink

PokerStars Tournament #43907474, No Limit Hold'em
Super Satellite
Buy-In: $15.00/$1.00
80 players
Total Prize Pool: $1200.00
Target Tournament #43906406 Buy-In: $650.00
1 tickets to the target tournament

Tournament started - 2007/03/03 - 11:27:00 (ET)

Dear wEbMa$tEr,

Tournament #43907474 has been cancelled due to technical reasons.

When a tournament is cancelled, and players have already reached the
money, we refund each player their tournament fee, and then divide up the
prize pool based on the following formula:

- each player receives the minimum prize not yet awarded at the time of
cancellation
- the remainder of the award pool distributed proportionally according to
the chip count

At the time of cancellation there were 8 player remaining, and your chip
count was 1,370. Total chips in play were 15,000. The remaning prize
pool was $1,154.00 and the minimum prize was $72.00.

Prize pool to be divided equally: $72.00 x 8 = $576.00
Prize pool to be divided based on chip count: $1,154.00 - $576.00 = $578.00

Your share in money equally divided: $72.00
Your share based on your chip count: $578.00 x (1,370/15,000) = $52.79
Your entry fee refunded: $1.00
Total money refunded to your account: $125.79

We apologize for the inconvenience.

PokerStars Tournament #44387769, No Limit Hold'em
Buy-In: $20.00/$2.00
180 players
Total Prize Pool: $3600.00
Tournament started - 2007/03/03 - 13:16:00 (ET)

Dear Ensano,

Tournament #44387769 has been cancelled due to technical reasons.

When a tournament is cancelled before players are in the money, we refund
each player their tournament fee, and then divide up the prize pool based
on the following formula:

- 50% of the award pool distributed evenly between remaining players
- 50% of the award pool distributed proportionally according to the chip
count

At the time of cancellation there were 164 player remaining, and your chip
count was 1,850. Total chips in play were 270,000.

Prize pool to be divided equally: $3,600.00/2 = $1,800.00
Prize pool to be divided based on chip count: $3,600.00/2 = $1,800.00

Your share in money equally divided: $1,800.00/164 = $10.97
Your share based on chip count: $1,800.00 x (1,850/270,000) = $12.33
Your entry fee refunded: $2.00
Total money refunded to your account: $25.31

We apologize for the inconvenience.
