Without a very good read on the villain, it looks terrible. Don't get me wrong, 3-barreling takes a lot of heart, but you have to be relatively sure of what villain might have to use it effectively.
You kept firing and he kept calling. With that kind of board, what do you think he had? If he had a pair, the turn and river aren't liable to scare him if he's been this stubborn so far, and if he was on any kind of draw, there is a good chance he made it.
Against most players, I'd probably just check behind on the turn and hope the river bails me out. Not to say I've never fired three shells at someone, but it's always someone I've played against before, either in that session or an earlier session, and I have to be pretty sure that he will fold whatever I think his hand is.

Yep i kno what your saying and most times i would have checked behind on the turn. This isnt a move i would usually make, but i seemed right for this situation 77, 88 was the kinda hand i put villian on and i thought if i could represent AA,KK i could push him off it. It worked, but yea this is only a play id make very sparingly.

Well if you had a read and stuck to it, then good for you. Hopefully you had a decent amount of information to base this particular play on, because as I said, it's very high risk. Having a solid idea of where your opponent stands in the hand makes it that much less risky.

Villains hardly ever fold overpairs + straight draws at this level, if that was your read I would've check folded the turn.

Always be wary of the UTG min-raise. You are not ahead in this hand and prolly can't get him to fold. His raise is AK, AA, KK or QQ. If he is superdonkish maybe TT-JJ.
