What to do in this situation |

Played in an 18 player Sit and Go. Top 4 make money.
Down to 5 players. Blinds 200-400
Short Stack has 650 chips (super tight player)
Opponent has 6000 chips(approx)(solid and aggressive player)
I have 2900 chips(approx)
Other 2 players had much bigger stacks than any of us.
"Opponent" is first to act
I'm in the dealer position
"Short Stack" is in early position. (folds)
I'm dealt A-Q offsuit
Hand is dealt and opponent leads off with a 2000 bet. hand is folded around to me.
I think it over weighing the pros and cons.
If i fold the hand and wait it out, short stack will almost certainly be eliminated which will put me in the money, but then again I thought with the blinds increasing i may not get a better shot to double up.(I didn't believe calling was an option here)
What Should I do?
Fold and have a very good chance to make the money, or go all-in and possibly double-up and increase my chances of winning it all. Or is there an alternate strategy that can solve this predicament.
P.S My apologies if the explanation is faulty. I have had an exhausting day and can barely keep my eyes open.

You're right. You can't call. You'll probably be forced to throw the rest in on the flop anyway.
Pushing means you'll have to win the hand. He's not going to fold for another 900.
With the big stacks in the blinds (if I understand the action correctly) and the short stack really really short, I'd probably fold here. You're likely to be racing for your tourney life, and I'd rather try to eke out a cash in this spot.

It really does depend.
How often did villain raise? How often did he raise that much (5XBB late S&G is pretty much)? Do the big stack protect the blind?
The real problem in this situation is allowing your self to get that short. I usually start pushing when my stack is around 10XBB. Once you get that short you have to win few races.
4 handed AQo is a strong hand. However if villain only raise with real quality hands you might be dominated.
I probably fold or push the same amount of time .
