Just now i was down 650 to 8350, roughly 13:1 underdog.
It was only a 6 handed tournament, and i did suck out one time to hit two pair Q 7, on the river against pocket 10s, but before that i went all in on everything that wasnt 7-2 (which was twice).
After that happened, the guy said "wow you suck", so i raised every hand. I had very good hands heads up, so that made it easier, but i felt like i knew i had the win. We were then tied at around 4.5k, then he pushed with K8 to my A8.
Im sure this happens all the time, but i really had made some boneheaded mistakes and was lucky to get in the money as the 3rd and 4th place guys had 3x the stack i had when they were eliminated.
Even though it was 6handed, it still felt great coming back from the dead. Anyone else have a good underdog story?

I have a similar story. I was playing at a single table sit n go for twenty bucks. Was not getting crap for cards. I manage to pull out a few hands but next thing I know i'm in the money with three left. I was sitting with about 800 chips and the other guys were near tied. I noticed through the game that they were both solid abc poker players but a little to tight. I hang around for a while and one takes out the other. Im guaranteed 2nd. I also know it is going to take quite a bit of luck for me to pull this one off. I start playing real aggressive and the other player has only got about 2K more than me. I continue to be aggressive and get real close to even. I finally get pocket k's. I go all in and get a call.I'm up against AQ. They hit an ace on the flop but I get a K on the turn. Took down the game. The other player could have easily took me out if they had played more aggressive and made me pay for the flops. But thats not my problem.

I've recently been playing in a lot of heads up SnG's, so I've been in these situations quite often. The worst of it, however, happened a few days ago when I was about a 9:1 disadvantage (2700 vs. 300) with blinds at 50-100. Luckily these were low stakes so my opponent didn't know what he was doing, and I ended up winning.

I'm pretty sure I've come back from <100 chips in the $100 HU sngs on Stars a couple of times before.
Those stories aren't as interesting as my 1st hand aipf AA vs 55 bad beat stories in the $2,200's...

In a 4-person HU tournament on stars, I made it to the second round, starting chips @ 3K - I won the first 3-4 hands, stealing blinds and making C-bets. 5th hand I flop top+bottom pair. I bet, he raise, I 3-bet, he over-bet pushes and I call him, he's got a flush draw and rivers it to make the chip count about 5800 to 200. I doubled up about 4 hands in a row, he was like "WHOA WTF HOW CAN YOU BE ALIVE RIGHT NOW" - he was super tilty and called some PF all-ins with terrible hands - KT and the like - letting me get the chip-lead really dumbly and I destroyed him for a $15 profit.
Totally not worth the time or effort

Live tournament 165,000 chips in play, I went into the HU battle as chip leader but after a few wrong moves found myself with just 3 chips 1x1000, 1x 500, 1x100 = $1600. I won the tournament. The other party played very tight and I was very lucky.
