6-max vs full ring NL: What are the differences?

Posted Tue Mar 13, 2007 11:24 am GMT by VisualCSharp
I'm a full ring 25NL player. Does anyone have an opinion on what the differences are between 6-max and rull ring play? Is play looser in general? Does more bluffing in position occur? Are the players generally better or worse than full ring?

Any comments appreciated.

they're far more agressive...

players are even more lose in short hand - rightly so. But since they are already so loose in micro levels, they are ridiculously loose in 6 hand.

Players are slightly less passive.

If you play good post flop, give it a go.

10max, i like to wait for hands, premium hands and maybe play the pot odds ones... and basically, it's a waiting game...

6max, bet position... steal, easier to make bluffs
and just beat the players by skills rather than cards. you can get away with a lot in 6 max that you can't in 10

person, i open up 4 tables, 2 6max and 2 10max...
while i watch and observe my players on 6max and just wait on the 10 whiling folding rags

thats how i play them, im not sure if everyone agree's
but my 2cents ^^
