I am unbelievably confused as to what villain could have. Calling on the flop is probably marginally better than 3-betting against most villains since he will usually lead the turn.
So he check/raises the flop.
Check/raises/caps the turn.
Check/folds the river?
Wtf kind of funky hand is he playing???

Looks pretty much standard. 3bet the flop is an alternative, and a decent one with how draw heavy the board is, but I think waiting a street is generally better here.
And yeah his line is awesome. Might be an awfully played JT/QT. Or something. Maybe QJ and he thought he 'missed his draw'?

Am not a limit expert but I think you played it perfectly.
The main reason for smooth calling on the flop is to get him to put more bets on the turn. And since he capped the turn, your plan worked .
Villain his probably on a nice draw. Str with a back door flush and maybe even a pair. So either AQs AJs , or JTs J9s..
By smooth calling the flop you got him to believe your hand is not that strong and thus he tried to push you off it on the turn. Had you reraised the flop, there is a chance he would simply check/call the turn.
Sure villain played it very bad, but thats why low level can be sooo profitable (according to Slansky)

Had you been lagging it up? Villain's line look like monkeytilt w/gutshot.

Yeah, it's AQ or AJ.
I know this because I've done it with AQ or AJ myself.
I'm not proud of it.

What's with playing 2/4FL?

Meh, had some free time and limit looked like it could be good, less mental exhaustion.

Looks standard...3-betting flop vs. waiting for turn is player dependent. Some will bet the flop and check to you on the turn on a somewhat scary board.
