How often if at all do you open fold from the bttn in HU IF you have a decent stack compare to blinds..
I almost never open fold. Only when my stack get real small will I tighten up and raise or fold. But when the stack is healthy, I'll often limp with any 2 cards .
is that a leak?

Depends on who you are playing. Some players will punish you relentlessly if you limp all hands, others will let you get away with it.
Even against very bad players it can be ok to fold a hand or two, to give the impression that you don't play everything.
Also raising is often be superior to limping.

Like I said, I almost never fold. I might fold a couple of hands if it is a HU S&G and the blinds are really small compare to stack.
Of course, if someone is real aggressive I might fold more PF.
The other day I and of a 18 player S&G played against a guy who open fold at least half his hands. He complained that there is no ante because if there were it will be correct to call more.
Twice he out drew me, and I built it back up by simply stealing or collecting his folds blinds.

Well, I answered in the understanding that we were talking deepish stacks. In 10-12BB SNG endgame scenarios you can really just shove every hand and one would probably be making less of a mistake than most others one could do. *edit* This probably isn't the best tactic though, I dunno...I'm not that much into SNGs.
Let's say in a NL HU cash game (or early in a HU SNG for that matter) against a reasonable opponent, then completing too much (and also raising too much, as against reasonable opponents you will see more raising HU than limping) would probably be complete spewage.

John Vorhaus wrote a whole series of strategy articles for HU play on Ultimate Bet. I think it was geared towards HU SnG's, but I seem to remember it being pretty good info and applicable to a lot of HU situations.
I'd look it up, but I'm lazy.
