And I was not impressed at all with the poker rooms. I ended up playing at the monte carlo and excalibur.

The problem was I actually woke up early one morning and was looking for a 1/2NL game around 10:30 and couldnt find any games! I went to the trop, mgm, to excalibur, back to the trop then mgm again and ended up settling for 2/4 limit at excalibur.

I guess I am spolied by foxwoods, but from what ive seen id say that is the nicest room ive played in and prob 1 or 2 in the country.

In fairness i didnt see the bellagio, Ceasars or the Wynn, but the mgm poker room was fairly impressive.

Not even close in table numbers and room size. Add up the tables in 10 big casinos and you could compare it to foxwoods.

I didnt play enough 1/2 to give you an idea of how the play is compared to foxwoods, but best of luck when you are out there.

I found that I didnt have much of a desire to play poker, I just wanted to play pai gow poker instead.

Did you also then miss the Mirage & the Venetian as you seemed to be up the other end of the Strip? That's 5 poker rooms in a fairly small area that you missed that might have been running games Confused

I went to Paris and I thought it pretty much sucked, but in fairness I didn't see the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre or the Arc de Triomphe.

Yeah, no single room is going to be close to the number of tables at Foxwoods. I think it's still the second largest room in the country behind Commerce. But it also has no competition, so everyone in New England pretty much has to play there or drive to AC.

But you definitely should have checked out Caesar's, Bellagio, or Venetian. All nice rooms with a variety of limits and games. Caesar's was running a 6/12 SHOE game the last time we were there.

Bellagio, Mirage, Wynn, and Venetian are the 4 largest rooms in Vegas- you were at the 'second tier card rooms' (possible exception being MGM) so you may not have enough info for a fair comparison.

Vegas is not THE place to go for action. For limit, I can find many more players here in MN.

I do think that there are a lot more fish playing bigger games than I find here at home. It is also fun to play with people from all over the country or the world instead of the same old faces.

Well Im going witha Bankroll for the Loungh of Time smaller then my Normal Roll for Foxwood's so the Fish at the MGM better be Better then the Fish at Foxwoods.
