Anyone going out? My friend got a free hotel room at the Bellagio and I might not be able to pass on that.

Is there something going on that weekend? Round-trip flights are already $600 and a room at the IP for 3 nights is twice what I paid in October for the same days of the week. Maybe this is normal for April. I have no idea.

Nothing that I know of. My airfare looked to be the normal $250-300. I doubt they would offer my friend a free room during a peak time.
I would call Kathleen at the Mirage poker room 180077POKER and see what their poker rate it. She will know if something is happening to jack up prices.

Couldn't wait till Monday. Prices kept going up, and there weren't any rooms available at the cheaper places for all 3 days.
So, I'm flying out of Philly and staying at the Mirage. I'll get in the morning of 4/19, and fly out the afternoon of 4/22. I'll look into getting a poker room rate when I get out there.

OK, I am now 99%. Just waiting until Tuesday to see if any airfare sales pop up.

I am staying at Bellagio and will likely play most of the time there. Although I might play a cheap tournament at Harrahs or IP.

Dave B, are you going to be renting a car while you're out here? If so, there's a handful of nice local cardrooms you should check out (Red Rock Casino in Summerlin, Green Valley Ranch Resort in Henderson come to mind). Also there's always quite a bunch of local daily tourneys off the strip as well.
It would also give you a chance to really see Las Vegas- most tourists think we all live on the strip, they don't realize we also actually have a city here, with houses, stores, and all that good stuff.
Also, if you're into racing, you absolutely must check out Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
If any of you guys meet up, I'm definitely down to hang out.

I know there is a whole city, I enjoy flying over it on my way to the strip!
No, I dont see renting a car out there.
The local charter airline that I usually use filled up as I waited for a deal. Now I am stuck an extra $100-150 and I haven't gotten of the ground yet.

Dawg, Bonzer used to like dat room until they got them jackpots which they pay to the NL tunamint playas. Lame. Soft 3/6 & 6/12 games but those JP kill the deal. LasVegasMichael sending all his peeps to ti but dat place really bytes.  Whut up with jackpots
