got beat on the river last week in a hand I was well ahead in........didn't deal well with it.
May have even been...."unsportsmanlike"
I need to deal with the bad as well as the good.
any ideas?
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

Play more hands and savor the beats.

Now when I get some donky calling my huge PF raise with 72s, Then call my pot bet with backdoor flush draw and hit runner runner, all I do is compliment them on their play. Then I look at their stack and drool. Often, I'll add them to my friends list.
It didn't get too bad lately that I had to get away from Poker for a couple of hours. But if it will, I will!

Take a running 1 outer and any other beat doesn't really feel as bad. I still remember my top set being destroyed by running quads. Good times.
