Back from brain surgery, ready for poker! |

Well, in case anybody is wondering, hospitals suck. I had my surgery on March 13th. It was over 6 hrs long and I was awake while they were doing it. It was to remove as much as possible of my brain tumor. I would have much rather been grinding out a MTT in those 6 hrs. I'm glad to be recovering now and have even attended a couple of home games. I certainly have missed poker. I'm glad to be easing back into it.
If anyone is interested in reading what I have been through, a friend of mine created a website www.caringbridge.org/visit/brianmiller . If you visit, be sure to sign the guestbook.
Since I have been back, my internet has been kinda screwy. Has anyone had any server problems on Fulltilt?
Well, I hope everyone is doing well! I don't post here a lot anyway, but I check the boards several times a week.
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

Of course, good luck at the tables, but more, good luck in the recovery. Great to hear you came through it, it must be really scary to have to lie there awake through the surgery.
Be well.

yea it was kinda scary. I don't care how drugged up you are, it still hurts when someone is literally drilling through your skull.
I'm glad the worst of this is behind me...thanks to everyone for your support!

This whole thing just sounds like a nasty thing to have to experience. I wish you some winning poker hands now, you deserve them (well unless you're playing me ofcourse, nice only goes so far at the tables, haha).

All the best my friend. My 9yo cousin successfully beat a brain tumour in Dec 2006 and one of the partners where I work also beat one in summer 2005 so I am sure you will do just the same.

Well, I'm thinkin about playing a little bit online today. Only problem is the FT account is empty. I'm putting $100 in through my WebATM, only problem is it takes a couple of days. If anyone is willing to help a brotha out and loan me 10 or 20 dollars until my deposit goes through, I would greatly appreciate it. I have the same name on Fulltilt as I do on here, BMiller1980. I will repay the funds as soon as my deposit goes through.
Thanks!

well i blew through that 20 pretty quick And still no funds in MyWebATM account.
If anyone else feels like making a 20 dollar loan I would appreciate it.
Funds will be returned to you as soon as my funds are available.
Thanks!

Not an inspiring story for a potential lender is it?

haha no. But repayment isn't related to my success at the tables. granted it may be quicker repayment if i win a couple of SnG's. I never know how long MyWebATM is going to take. I added 100 to the account earlier today but I don't know if it will go through tomorrow, or monday, or even tuesday.

Congrats on getting through the surgery, i dunno what your treatments are coming up but i hope you do well. My brother had a tumor in the back of his head and hes been fine for 4 1/2 years now.
