Noise-Cancelling Headphones + Loose/Aggressive Play = Bad News for Wahlroos
Player 1 moves all-in from second position for $20,800 and the action folds around to Thomas Wahlroos, who announces raise from the button, throwing in a $5,000 chip. The dealer informs him that a player is all-in, and Wahlroos is shocked to hear it, especially when the floor is called and it is determined that he must make a raise above his opponent's all-in wager.
The Finn hems and haws for a few minutes before deciding that he "might as well move all-in," and the blinds dutifully fold, leaving Wahlroos to face off against pocket eights with the mighty Jd-4c. "One time," pleads Wahlroos, but it is not to be, and he doubles up his opponent while complaining about the sickness of the situation (he might have a point - his opponent was hiding his cards with his cell phone after moving all-in).
Haha, serves him right for not paying attention to the action. Thats always so annoying playing live when someone is listening to music and not paying attention to the action going on around them. And I'm glad the floor made the correct decision and made him raise!

All the Ontario casinos ban electronic devices on the floor - this includes IPODs at the poker table.

Well I don't agree with that but I think if you are going to be listening to music you MUST be aware of the action that is going on around you.

There's too many stupid people for this.

That happened to me and it cost me $$$. Final table of 120 person or so limit $100+10 live tourney at Canterbury. Blinds were 4000/2000 and I was all in w/ 1800 in the big blind. A dude w/ headphone put out 2000 to call and they made him complete the 4k-even after he asked if he could fold.
I had AJ (or something) and the flop came A 9 9, he had something like Q9 suited. Turn J river blank.
3-4 players were VERY short stacked and the small blind was all in. Each spot was worth $100-300, so I could have easily finished 4-5 without playing a hand. Instead I took 7th.

More the better for the rest of us who actually pay attention. Especially if the floor manager is strict enough to make them pay for their stupidity
