get poker tracker + PAHUD

make sure you take the time to figure out exactly how to import tournament summaries, if you need help with stats analysis I have some links I could post later

It'll cost about $70 for both, considering your avg. tournament buy-in is probably higher than that, you are a fool for not using it

I just use(d) Excel. Personally I think a lot of online players are getting too reliant on tools like Poker Tracker.

The blatant fact of the matter is that unless you use a HUD program, you are giving up an edge.

Probably because it is an absolutely excellent resource and you are at a disadvantage if you don't use it, in cash games at least.

I used to keep track of everything with Excel, but as soon as I had tried Poker Office I couldn't believe all the extra work I had been doing. Call me lazy, but it sure is convenient to let a software do all the "heavy lifting".

I hate poker tracker.
Been playing with the demo a little while playing on internet cafe (Remember I have a mac and there is no poker tracker for mac) Damn, that thing is addicting.
even without the HUD thing , you can easily see things about people you normally wont see.
For example, while only 2 tabling. Some guy I never notice before raised. A quick check on PT showed me he raised once before in a span of 70 hands. Which made folding AQo in the blinds soo much easier.

Damn, time for me to make some money and get a newer mac that can work windows.

Danny

ps. and watching some poker video of online players, that live HUD really change the way poker is played. They know exactly how often a guy raised. How often he calls a raise and how often he fold the C-bet.

We need to come with a plan to play against poker trackers geeks!

I love macs, but just get a cheap used PC for poker. I'm sure you can get a capable PC for less than $200.
