Well fellow THP members...
This is one of the hardest decisions of my life because i love poker so much. I have decided that since Neteller is closing it access to Canadian members, and because of my training with the Canadian army is about to begin once my semester ends, this is the end of my online poker days. I have had a good run and it very hard for me to call it quits. I just wanted to thank everybody for their advice and i just wanted to say that this is the best online forum that i have ever seen. Thank you THP for everything.
I calculated my winnings from my various accounts from the beginning and here is the breakdown.
Starting date: September 9th, 2004
Total No Limit profit: 392.38$
Total 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball winnings: 897.65$
Total Profit combined 1290.03$
* This is all thanks to cash games, as i could never get the hang of playing tournaments and lost quite a bit.
Thanks again everybody, and I will still be around once in a while to laugh at the posts about Ensano's scooter.
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

GG.
But, you can play alot of live poker in the army, just so you know. Make yourself a nice little side income.
If you don't mind, may I ask where/what service you are taking?

there is no need to say never.
Take a break from online poker and see what happens.
you'll probably find a lot of live games going around, and once you are off the army, who knows, the law might change again and internet poker might become a duty.

you can play a LOT of poker in the army.
I mean, you could play poker in the army before poker was big
I shudder to think what it's like now.

Are you joining the army or will you tell what you're really planning on doing? Maybe, joining the Mounty's?
