This is the stuff that gets me into trouble at NL.
Loosish player that will raise w/ anything (sorry, 9 handed $100NL $.50/$1) raises to $3.50 on the cutoff and I am heads up in the blind w/ K9 suited. I am up about $100 without showing down much-I call.
Flop 963 rainbow, I check to him, he checks.
Turn K, I have a lock and hope he has AK KQ, etc, he bets $6, I raise to $15, he calls immediately.
River A, I bet out $15 and he raises to $45. Now I immediately put him on AK, even A9 A6 A3 is trouble or any set. Can I really lay this down given the way it was played?

I'm a much lower level player , but here are my thoughts :
Since he raise almost everything his range here is much bigger then even 2 over cards.
How does he play post. Does he often call or raise with marginal hands? What hands did you see him show down?
Why didn't he c-bet? Does he often NOT c-bet UI or did he hit big and trying to trap?
Why didn't you lead to him?
In lower level I probably call without reads.

If he's that loose, would he have raised when he gave you the free card?
If he's really a loose player, he might have something like AJ or KJ or KQ
I don't know, I guess if you call him you find out for next time

I guess what bothers me about this hand is his flop check. If he's LAGish then it might mean he flopped a set, if he's loose-passive then he's more likely to have the AK.
I guess I don't see what you beat here besides a bluff. He's making such a value raise on the river it's sick. But damn it's hard to fold this one.

I called, he showed J4 for no pair.
Then this one tonight, I win a good amt again and the table breaks, so I sit down at a new one. 1st hand K3 on the post and I am heads up w/ the blind. Flop K Q 4 he bets pot, I smooth call.
Turn 7 , he bets pot again ($10), I raise min, he goes all in for and I have $25 more to call. $40 in the pot, top pair, weak kicker vs a short stack w/ 3 draws out there and he was the BB and getting 2:1 odds.....what to do what to do?????

I'd fold, but i hate this type of hand, especially at the limits i play (.25/.50).
Just a top pair with weak kicker against a big raise will mean a fold from me.

Don't bet this river.
You have a great bluff-catching hand.
If you bet and are raised you probably have to fold, so instead I like to use an aggressive check here. He might have you beat, and I don't think you are giving up much value by checking here... A lot of aggressive players might try to bluff on an ace, so if its a bluff you win a bet. I cannot see a hand that will call the turn raise and will reraise the river that you can beat...
