Qualifying for the Sunday Million?

Posted Tue May 08, 2007 12:24 pm GMT by AHBrownell
Does anyone regularly play in the Sunday Million on Poker Stars? I want to start playing this regularyly, but don't want to spend $200 every week to do so. Any suggestions?

Satellites?

the 39$ sats when enough people enter is probably best shoot with 1 in 6 getting the seat ,
or the rebuy one there people say after rebuy is over its like 1 in 2 get a seat

$11 rebuy satellites are a fantastic deal. Usually fewer than 45 players with 3+ seats up for grabs, potentially more if there are a lot of rebuys. Great way to qualify on the cheap.

Yeah DC is right. I played 3 of em yesterday and qualified in 2. Gotlike $430 of $T but whenever you enter any mtt now it comes out of that. Still pretty cool though.

Personally, I don't like them, but many love the Double Shootouts. The $10 ones (when the they fill up) require you to beat your first table (usually a full one). After that you're sent to the final table where everyone profits and I think 1 or 2 get the seat.

There are $8 Double Shootouts too but I forget how they work.

I've had some success in the Double Shoot-outs. I like them, but you have to get a little lucky.

I used to play cash games and was Platinum or SuperNova at one point so used to clock up the FPP's so used them to buyin. If I didn't have enough I just played fpp sats.

So, I've played in a few of these and have won two seats thus far. It seems like the 39+R, 11+R, and the 3+R are the best value in terms of ROI. I usually get through the first stage without rebuying on in the 39+R, and then just adding on. This gives you a decent shot and the investment is smaller than the average. In the smaller ones. I usually do the immediate rebuy, and the addon, but I generally just try to abuse the timer at the late stages because its cheesy, but it works. AND the blinds get so silly that there really is very skill involved.
