easy fold...

with the size of your stacks relative to the blinds and stacks of the other people I'd say I fold this 99% of the time...

with QQ i always do my best to see a flop unless calling a SS allin so outright maniac blind steal...

no need to risk so many of your chips... you have practically nothing invested in this pot... let it go and bust him later...

no one can reply to this without sitting at the table with the guy for a few rounds.

You've been there, so if you gut told you to fold, I guess its a good fold. Always listen to your gut.

Personally it will take me a very good read to fold Q's especially against someone who put someone AI with KTo and called with 53s

Easy call. You have a real hand versus a stupid maniac. Doesn't matter if he has you beat, you're ahead most of the time, which is what matters.

actually after I donk in the "higher" (10+1;24+2) Buy-In tourneys (see other topic Wink ) i always come back to the nickle and dime-trash, to practice and try to handle it, as if it was a real tourney (MrDarling will probably tell me once again that i shouldnt think that much about players at that level Very Happy )

right after I folded i felt pretty stupid, because i should have called for the reasons tame mentioned in his post.

My thoughts were going more in following direction:
even if he has 53s again, why should i risk the tourney on one hand. One badbeat and i am out, but with a fold i am still in a very comfortable chipposition

you stack is 11785... your M=65+, you have 98 times the BB why at this point would you risk all your chips preflop?...

doubling up now < not cripling yourself for no reason

remember what people say about not getting into coinflip situations early because you don't need to...

i say the same thing about going all in preflop when you don't need to...

fold and wait for a better spot...

you mean in the first hand if you have KK instead of QQ...

of you fold KK preflop just because you raised and then a LAG pushed then you defenately need to start coming to my homegame...

i say fold QQ cause from my experience QQ is a lot like JJ... their those hands that if you find yourself AI preflop you'll more often than not be up against a few overcards...

avoid coinflips unless you have no choice...

the risk benefit of this situation just isn't worth it... you're risking your tournament life on this 1 hand, when you have more than enough chips to make a good run for the final table...

Posted Thu May 10, 2007 1:15 pm GMT by tame_deuces
Vs a stupid lagtard maniac bluffer type handrange like we're most likely against here KK isnt't really too different from QQ in a preflop situation. Something like 5-6% equity maybe, so its indeed a good bit but it is far from the aweinspiring difference many probably think it is.
