In terms of most fishy players. I want to play at least a 2/5 or 3/5 game in a little over a week when my friend gets home from the air force.
I've been to commerce, and they seemt to have decent games, but I was just curious if anyone else knew if a particular location had juicier games...
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

I've never been, but from what I've heard, the low limit players are uniformly bad at Bike and Commerce (Gunslinger, anyone can confirm?). But Commerce is of course bigger and kinda of the Mecca of Poker right now (well, at least the Medina... maybe Bellagio is still Mecca). And the two are like 5 minutes from each other, so you can probably play both of them.

Either Commerce or the Bike will be fine, they are both huge, have lots of tables, and most players are really bad.
Depending on where you're staying though, a few other casinos might be closer. Hollywood Park is very close to LAX, it's medium sized, I've only played tournaments there, Phil plays a lot there. Hustler Casino is very small but very nice, the one time I went there the players were above average, and this was at the $1/$2 NL tables. Hawaiian Gardens is further south, I've never been there but it's supposed to be decent sized.
The one thing that will disappoint you anywhere you go is the max buy-in. 20-40 big blinds max everywhere in LA, depending on the stakes ($2/$5 will be on the higher side).
Really, just do Commerce or the Bike, I played them both many times and most players are just awful.

The games are probably more aggressive than you are used to because of the small structure. Not necessarilly tougher to beat, but just more aggressive.

I suppose we will stick with commerce. We have gone there before. I'm not a huge fan of the blinds/stack ratio, but hopefully its a bit better at the middle stakes.

is this a trend in all of Cali?
When i last played poker in Cali Limit Still was King

Limit still is king. The blinds in middle limit NL are still very high compared to the buyins until you get to the 5/10 uncapped games.
