My 5th orbit on table.
$25NL - 6max
Villain has me covered ($85)
I sit with a little over $28
I limp with A4s from UTg - I know you all hate open limping. I don't mind it with hands that I will call a raise with but not a reraise.
folded to villain in SB who raises to $1.25
I call. looking to play poker. I'm not going to go broke with TPNK. Am hoping to flop a bog hand or play some poker (ie, float in position etc..)
Flop Great - I hit the jackpot. 2 pairs
villain bet the pot ($2.20)
I raised to $6.40
villain call. in this point I put him on a big A.
turn and suddenly my hand doesn't look too good.
Villain check, I check behind.
River
villain push.
The pot is around $14 before his push will be $35 and $21 for me to call...
What do I do?
Did I miss play the turn and now have to call , or should I fold this non the less?
This situation confuses me.

I think you should have bet the turn, about half the pot... if he calls you are in trouble.
As played i would fold, you showed weakness on the turn and he is using it... i guess we cant say if he has anything at all (unless you´ve seen him push with weaker hands)

dont check turn unless ur willing to call his push on river or ur done with the hand
he could be pushing here with very wider range
did u see him check raise turn before ? then fold
if not i probably call
i know trend is changed a bit but people still push weak hands on river after check check on turn, if nothing more i will have more information about him in the future.

After some thought I think this is an easy fold.
Sure the pot is pretty big but I can't see a hand that does it that we beat. AQ? doubt it, under pair to the board? maybe?
basically, we're calling to catch a bluff.
Am still not sure about my turn play. My plan was to call any reasonable river bet or value bet if checked to.
What do I do on the turn if he c/r?

Who hates open limping? I thought in a NL cash game open limps are completely fine.
If he C/R turn I'd just probably fold, I can't see him doing it without having top and bottom pair beat, unless he is quite bad of course.

seems like every one is hating open limping in 6max.
though I started to do it often.
