Hi!
Just had a strange HU game going on:
The guy played ultratight and let me bet and take down almost every pot.
Starting chips were 3000 and when we came to the point where I had about 4200 and he 1800:
He started to go all-in on almost every 2nd hand (when he was SB)... sometimes reraised me all-in after a standart 3xbb Bet.
So we were playing that play for like 3 levels...
So my question is: When do you call this freak? (apart from high PP)
If you lose the pot he is chipleader and even AK is just a 2:1 fav over a random hand.
finally i decided to call with AJos, but i didnt really like it

Seriously, the best you're gonna see is 4 to one, and if you stand around waiting for that to happen you'll prolly have lost the chip lead by then, if not busted. Call whenever you think you're a 60:40 or better chance. IE any A9 or better, or any two face cards.

Yeah, just...
I dont like to stick the money in with just that.
Óf course 2:1 is fine, was just asking if there are any other strategies, I am thinking about something that would make him slowdown, probably adopt that same strategy for me. something like putting him all-in from time to time, just to slow him down a bit and try to win even more of the small pots, to bring him down to a chiplevel of 1000:5000 and then i could call a 2:1 All-In with less danger

unless u are playing a game for your life with the devil it doesnt matter
what your chip advantage is, if u keep waiting for AA soon he will have the chip advantage

I love it when they are down in chips and start pushing every third hand. I simply wait for a decent hand to call them : Most Pairs, most decent A's (if they push really a lot, any A will do) As long as I think I'm ahead when I call, I'll do it.
if they do get lucky and catch a card, I'm pretty sure I can get them back down.

You might want to start playing Chess or something.

Dont be a nit, if the guy is forcing you to find a hand, find one or live with the fact you are loosing more money by folding than by being that 2:1 favorite very quickly.

Something to make him slow down is to use your 2:1 advantage and call this mother stinker.
What I really like doing personally is waiting just a little bit for a good hand and limp into the pot. When he pushes...I call.
