Saw some pretty astounding hands at this SnG last night. This one player just made everyone boggle in amazement...
First, he called an all-in re-raise with 8d 9d...

The very next hand while we're still chatting about that odd turn of events, he calls another all in. This time he has a reasonable hand at least, Qc Kc. It's a coin toss against pocket 3s.

So forget the tens, he gets runner runner to make a straight with his 4.
It ended up with me and him heads up. In this hand, he goes all in while I'm holding top pair of Ks but only a deuce kicker.

It took me a long time to decide because his play was so weird that I didn't respect his raise at all, but I just couldn't call with my easily dominated K. Strangely, he showed the bluff. Looking back on it though, if I had called I would not have been surprised if he caught a J to make a straight.
His bizarre play finally cost him the game when he called my all-in with a small pair...

Crap like this happens all the time. You always get someone who is making bad calls but catching good cards.
That hand where he called the all-in with KQ...nothing really wrong with that.

The 89s call isn't terrible. If he's up against a hand like AK/AQ hes 40/60, which is about the right price. As it was, it was a bad call, but against a standard range, its not the worst call ever.

I love these kinds of players. They think they're superstars because they're winning so many hands, but they don't realize that they're losing tons in the long run.
