"you cant see the forrest, because of all the trees"
Thats what we say in german, if somebody is to stupid to see whats in front of his eyes and I think i am just seeing trees here...
Had a "Poker-Luck vs Skill"-discussion and i was asked whats skill if somebody hits his one outer on the river when all the money is in the pot... so I just calculated the EV
A One-Outer is equivalent of about 2% chance, and i took a NL10 game
so:
(0.02x-10)+(0.98x10)=
=-0.20+9.80= $9.60
I was wondering now where the 20 Cent have gone, shouldnt I be winning 98% of the time and winning 9.80 ???
I guess its just a stupid "thinking in the wrong direction"-thing, but can anybody help me out here

Your profit is $9.60.
The total pot is $20 each time 98% X $20 = $19.60
