party recently gave me a free 10$ to play with... I decided to take the full stack to .05/.10 NL...
so this goes out to all of you who manage to play and keep your sanity at those stakes... i was only playing 1 table and it felt like the beginning of saving private ryan...
i don't know how you'se do it... I don't know how I did it in the beginning... but I'm never touching those stakes again... raises called by J3... min bets .10 at a 5$ pot only to push when raised... calling down pot sized bets with bottom pair...
crazy I tell ya... crazy...

Overbet the pot (or go all-in) with your monster hands. If they have any kind of draw, they'll definitely call you down.

These son are the people we refer to as "fish". They are there to supply our bankrolls with fluff (extra cash). Once in awhile they will suck out on us but play ABC poker and your going to make a killin off these poor suckers.
I built my roll up many time playing these poor shmucks in that level.

Ensano's agony is not new to me as I encounter it at our local live poker room at the dog track. The problem can be the number of fish at the table. If there are one or two, great, they provide the dead money at the table. But if there are five or more of them it is living hell (I like Ensano's comment about the beach in Saving Private Ryan). You have to beat all of them and there is a high probability that one of them will get lucky. I've watched them at the table just trading chips among each other.
I plan on a more serious post in the poker theory forum on playing the hyper-loose table. I actually need to do some quantative analysis but my gut feel, backed by experience, is that one of them can get lucky and if there are enough of them you are in trouble.
OK. I got fired up. Check these numbers out:
If the hyper-fish that Ensano describes will see all five cards regularly I calculate that any player has a 24.5% chance of making either two pair or a set with any two unpaired hole cards.
24.5 = (6 / 50 x 5) x (5 / 49 x 4)
If there are FOUR of these bozos at the table it is almost certain that one of them will make at least two pair or a set. So your hand must stand up to at least that standard. Then start looking at threats on the board (pairs, coordinated, suited) and unless you are hit big you are probably in trouble.

If I can continue my current win rate I will only be playing .05/.10 for another 7k hands or so. I think that is a pretty big if, too.
