Try to get all the money in?

This is pretty vague. Smile

Heh, sorry I'll elaborate. Of course you want your money all in, but how often do you slow play here versus betting to defend against a draw heavy board? I would assume you might slow play more often than you would at a full table. I'll give an example:

You have wired 5s and the flop is J52 with two spades. It is unlikely that youre going to win a big pot if your opponent doesn't hold a jack. If he has two spades, you may get called down regardless, so do you check here?

If the board is very draw heavy, say you have 8s and the flop is J108 with two spades, the best play is most often to bet. But on a board with just a sraight draw or flush draw, how do you get money out of your opponent without letting him catch up? How often do you slow play in such a situation? Is that plausible or am I being my typical donkey self and not making sense?

Depends on how you play really. If you usually play aggro then just bet it, etc.

Heads up you’re less likely to get value on your big hands, that’s just life, you’ve just got to hope:

  • They’ve got something half decent too
  • They decide to make a bluff
  • They think you’re bluffing

With really big hands heads up I might even way overplay it knowing they only have to call once for me to win the match. If they fold to my very aggresive move I'll usually start bluffing more until I feel they'll call down next time. Getting caught bluffing early can work wonders too.
