No-limit in casinos?

Posted Wed Apr 28, 2004 1:54 am GMT by DocHolliday
I don't seem to do well in limit games, but I do pretty good in no-limit cash games that I've played (only a couple sofar). Is there any casino or cardroom in the Tahoe/Reno/Sacramento region that has these games and what is the maximum buy-in?

Thanks in advance for any help on this!

I know that there is a no limit game at Lucky Chances, just south of SF. I'm not sure what the stakes are, but it's not cheap. I dont know about Reno, but Im going in a few weeks and I'll post info here.

In the casino where I work, players quite oflten take no limit overs buttons. Usually 2-5 people at the table have them. If everyone in the hand has the buttons, then betting is no limit. Otherwise it is a normal structure. We have this because we are small and have to cater to high and low limit players on the same table. It's fun though.

On WPT last night (4/28/04) they said Commerce Casino in LA has No Limit.

EDIT: after rereading your original post I see that L.A. is probably a bit of a drive for you.

Commerce is great. That's where I used to play all the time when I was more actively playing. They have everything.

I've never been to an Indian casino, but they're all over the place in California these days. Maybe you could check one of them out?

Ever see Card Player magazine? They're stuffed full of ads and tourney info for tournaments all over California and everywhere else. You should be able to find lots of addresses and other info there.
