What does a typical sponsorship agreement look like? |

I have been asked how much I would ask for to be endorsed / sponsored for the Main Event by a new acquaintence that has a business he'd like to promote, and is also just interested in sponsoring me because we hit it off.
He asks, "How much to endorse you?"
My question is: Does anyone have any knowledge of what a typical arrangement entails?
Option 1 -- flat fee to wear logo apparel? if so, how much, and should there be a "bonus" for making the final table, etc.?
Option 2 -- he pays my buy-in? In this case, what is fair or reasonable to offer him, without leaving too much money on the table.
Any thoughts?
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

Whatever you decide get it in writing BEFORE the event...unless you want to be a Jamie Gold....
If it was a typical staking 50/50 would be a good split. Since he is wanting endorsements...he pays your buy-in and if you finish ITM then give him 40% and you keep 60% IMHO.

I can't help you on what the flat fee should be but there should be a serious bonus for making the TV feature table at any time during the tournament and making the final few tables. There should maybe even be a clause for $$$ every time a logo is shown on TV should you happen to make a TV table. TV exposure is HUGE compared to just wearing the logo in an event.

Standard staking offer is winnings less buy-in divided by two. In this case, apply that but add the amounts from option 1 into the scenario with the same TV/final tables bonuses.

Thanks for the replies to my post ... this is helpful. Any more opinions on my "option 1" are welcome, but i do appreciate the feedback so far.
