So PLO Hi has been so far my best game and I play it almost exclusivly now (except for tournaments). I have recently ventured into the realm of hi/lo and have made some observations I would like to get some opinions on from more experienced hi/lo players.
This is from about 600 or so hands.
1. Hands that make profitable hi hands like 10JKQ double suited can be played the same as in hi b/c when they hit there is no low hand and scooping is much more likely.
2. Folding the nut low is not always a bad idea in multi-way pots with lots of action b/c raking in 1/4 or even 1/8 of a pot sucks.
3. People will often call raises or even reraise PF with only low draws (especially A2).
4. Most people on the internet don't have the vaugest idea how to play hi/lo.
Comments? More importantly any others? I really really want to get good at this game.

1) They can't be played exactly the same because every so often I raise them in PLO Hi but in Hi/Lo its pretty dangerous. Also there are instances when not playing them is correct in hi/lo.
For example, you shouldn't really be calling raises with these hands because with a raise there is more chance the pot will not be multiway and these hands heads up in hi/lo are probably losers.
When there is only one person has limped in, it's porbably best to fold these hands unless there are a lot of loose passive players behind you, for the reasons above.
The time these hands become profitable is when it's limped around and the pot is multiway. They probably mainly have low cards, which means there are more high cards in the deck and you should connect a lot more often. Calling a raise which you know will be called by a few others isn't out of the question either.
2) With a lot of players and you hold the nut low, you are not always going to get f*ck for 1/4 the pot, there are instances where you should fold it, so you are right, but don't be doing all the time in multi way pots because "He is betting he must have A2 too"
3) Nothing wrong with calling raises with only a lo draw depending what your other two cards are. I am not sure but calling a reraise with A29K is probably a mistake.
4) Correct
I am not really very experienced in this game, only to the extent I have won and final tabled a few tournaments and up a bit in the low cash games at it, but every day I am gathering info on every game, so maybe not 100% correct I reckon the points I have made are quite valid.
