This is "in fear of the set"? How 'bout in fear of the "nut flush" man? But, I really wouldn't be too afraid of the nut flush beating you, much less the set. Either way, in this spot you have to go all in. You have the best hand. Were you considering folding?

in all fairness to him i could've been betting anything... TPTK for example...
he was calling 23.45 into a 70$ pot... he was getting almost the 3:1 he needed...

Whats the question. Are you afraid of pushing into a drawing hand?

was kinda just looking to see if I was overplaying my hand a bit...
didn't really think so but on of my poker buddies made some comments that made me think...

Lesson 1: The vast majority of your "poker friends", like the poker community in general, has no idea what they're talking about.
I still don't see what you're questioning here, though? Like - is your question whether your all-in is too aggressive because it might push off weaker hands?

In my book this is fairly standard every time we think an opponent has a hand which he will be hard pressed to fold.
Figuring out why is easy by going through the possible river scenarios.

QFT..I don't think any one statement has more truth then this. No way your not going broke here unless you put villian on A or the board paired and you thought he had the boat.
Maybe this should be in the bad beat section because you played it right, had the best hand and got sucked out on.
