Hi,
I've been playing poker seriously for about a year now. I generally play more house games at 0.25$/0.50$ NL, but when I do go to Vegas or Atlantic City, I play 1$/2$ NL.
When I first made my transition into 1$/2$, it took a little bit of time to adjust to the bigger bets and playing styles, but I am now comfortable with it and looking to move to 2$/4$ NL.
Is there anything that I must know about the difference in the players or the difference in playing styles in the transition from 1$/2$ to 2$/4$?
Thanks,
TJ

$2/5 Nl games in Vegas vary a lot. Sometimes you'll find those tight passive games. Other times you'll find very aggressive players... they like to push all-in with pocket 9s on 'ya. Buy-ins vary in range... from $300 minimum. and you'll definitely see guys with stacks of $1,000. You gonna call $600 all-in preflop with AK?
Just beat up a 1/2NL game for $200, then take the entire $400 to 2/5. I think that's the best play.

In live games, I've found that most of the time the only difference between $1/$2 and $2/$4 or $2/$5 is the amount of money on the table. Games are still mostly donkfests and fish ponds.
