6 Handed online MTT, Level 1.

A Heart K Club UTG +1 Raise to $60.
Villian (loose up till now) makes it $500 Straight.

I am sittin with $3,110 , him $2,541.

OOp with AK, $440 more to call...I decide that with over $500 out there and a big hand short handed to push all in. I didn't want to call $440 and play AK oop here tbh and figure if I am called I am probably racing and since I've opened alot of pots this level he could re raise with wider range then most.

What do you think of this play ?

I think it's either push or fold there, and since I trust your judgment and evaluation of other players, I would have to agree with your logic. If his range includes AQ and AJ or similar hands here, I like the push a lot. The structure of the tourney probably has a lot to do with my decision here--the more play we're likely to have later, the more likely I am to fold rather than push; conversely, the less play we're likely to have later, the more likely I am to push rather than fold here.

I know people say they hate to gamble early, and while I might agree with that in a high buy-in, deep stacked tournament, I prefer to gamble in the online tournies early to try and get a stack before the WHOLE game becomes push or fold.

easy push 90% of the time.

Yeah , I thought a push would be ok here. He instacalled with Aces though lol ,made me pause for thought if it was necessary to shove with blinds being so small.

I'll 4th it ... push/fold situation, pushing being much more likely.
