Lets say that I sit dow at a table and start playing some poker. After about an hour or so, is it ok if I just get up a leave with my winnings?
And if so, would I need to tell the dealer of my intentions of leaving??
This would be non tourny of course.
Thanx

Yes it's ok to leave...it's your money, your life, you can do what you like. Just tell the dealer you're out after this/next hand or whatever.

The reason you should tell the dealer youre going to leave is so they can fill the seat asap, and then u wont get on tilt after losing your last hand and want to stay longer and end up losing more...this may or may not have happened to me before...

It's okay to leave without notice like that. Just be sure no one follows you to the parking lot.... LOL
Absolutely, it's okay. If you really wanna be underhanded just leave as the big blind comes to you. LOL...

General: You are right on :D Shep: I usually will leave after playing the button so as to not cause any potential hard feelings, especially if I have taken some good pots from 1 or 2 particular people

Just get up and leave.Your checks are pretty much the same as cash.Just brightly colored chips.

I never leave when I'm getting a free hand. Wouldn't dream of leaving until my blinds come up unless I'm in an infernal hurry.

I have never played in a casino but I can't help think it is acceptable to play up to the blind. I look at it as, by posting my blinds I have paid to see my hole cards until the blinds get back to me. Is this a wrong assumption? I don't want to be rude.

It's not rude IMHO. You pay the blinds for the priviledge of getting the button. Everybody is different, do what you want :D
