Wow it was great, I was sweating bullets for the first few moments at the 1-4-8-8 holdem table but I quickly got over my jitters and held my own pretty well. After all was said and done I left the poker rooms up about $50. I was really surprised how bad some of these players are though. I was playing at the palms and the guy sitting next to me had a tray with $100 in chips when I started and by the time I decided to leave he had went through that and lost an addition $40. Just so you know I took a good portion from him. My queens over eights was a bit too much for his pair of 5's.

There was a particular sad story though.
At the luxor I stayed in with a 9 and jack of spades and the flop came 10 queen, king giving me a straight. I bet huge and a fella across from me kept raising. I figured he had to have at the worst a king but I had a feeling he had AK. next card up an Ace. I still have my straight so I gotta raise, and he raises right back. The river card was another ace and I knew he got his aces full of kings but I had to go for it. Sure enough he had it. Other than that depressing hand everything was great.

I've had the itch to play again so I'm gonna play in cripple creek this Saturday and I can't wait.
