So I'm playing a kid in school, today, someone who I absolutely despise. Everyone hates this kid, so annoying, thinks he's so smart AND good at hold'em. Basically, I take his money in the game when I can. :D
So anyway, we're playing for $2 (I know, not much). I'm up to about $2.60, he's got $1.40. Blinds are 2/4 cents. I get dealt 23 suited in the BB, he calls out of the small.
Flop: 2 4 5
He bets 10 cents. I call (bottom pair and straight draw).
Turn: 2 4 5 A
He quickly moves in. $1.10. I call.
He flips over AA for trip A's.
He says "Read 'em and weep, bitch".
I flip over 23 for straight, 5 high.
I say "No, read THIS and weep, bitch".
He gapes.
River: 2 4 5 A 7
Great feeling. :D

Oh ya, and another hand that was good. This time, I'm playing someone who's quite good at poker, took $30 off me a few weeks ago.
I get dealt 8 6 in the BB.
He calls.
Flop: Js 8c 6c
He bets about 1/4 my stack. I call
Turn: Jc 8c 6s Ah
He quickly moves in.
I know this guy bluffs a lot, so I call.
He flips over Qc 7c.
River: Jc 8c 6s Ah 6c
At first, he says "YES!". Then realizes I have the full house.
'Twas fun. :D
It was a good day today.

Now you're building that roll. One more like that and you can go head's up with Sal.

true true but if those home games you mentioned earlier are that loose, as long as they don't get unbelievably lucky you'll be back up in no time. Keep it up man.

LoL... omg too funny. I feel like the big bully now.... just trying to get something fun on the website going, but instead i'm just gonna be taking some kid's lunch money... that's just wrong... LOL
Good job, though, Ninja. Yeah, do what you can to get a deposit going. Just remember you deserve a lot more respect for winning, as we know what $5 costs for ya. I'll be waiting for ya!

Now, I think you may be giving me a little too much slack there Sal. I did have a job last summer, worked at the local baseball club, made a little over $1000, which was quite nice. However, most of it's ($800-$900)gone to the Love Shack, which I will discuss more thoroughly in the non-poker forum.
I do have about $40 lying around, but I really don't want to dig into my bank account if I deposit it and then lose it. I figure I will bring the $40 to homegames, and hopefully win about $5-7 a week at school. Hehehehe.
Thanks for the kind words though.

what school are you in? high school or college? in my dorm in college i bet there was about $1000 moved around in one poker room in one night on the weekend and close to $500 on any given week night. you should make more than $5-7 if you find a good game you can beat.

High school. I will be a sophomore next year. I don't exactly have a lot of time to play $15 games in school.

Not too wrong, I had permission from a parent whose 10yr old I babysat, I was told to "Teach Him a lesson" I won a dollar or two. Nothing to him since he had an allowance
The next night I played with the kid and his pops.......its funny but his pops got schooled, then me and the kid split the pot, not much but it happened for the next 2-3 games, hes was too hard to read, and was too new to the game for me to take him out, his ma and pa were like shooting fish in a barrel with him he helped me a few times, all in all, the kids gonna be a good card player!!
