Pretty nice...

(I use Play Money BTW, but I'm VERY into Poker) I had 1000, with AA in the pocket. Good thing I wasn't at a real table because my eyes did light up a little bit. I bet out 50, a reasonable raise, not too big or small. Everyone up to the man to the left of me calls. The man left of me reraises ALL IN. I'm thinking, he may have a nice suited hand, or another high pair, but you can not MUCK a stinkin' AA! So the flop shows an ace to me! And the flop is clean, no possibility of straights or anything. I am realling feelin it. I have about 200 left I believe after calling. I believe after he went all in there were 3 players (including me) left. The other guy had about 100. So I bet out another 20, and he calls. (this was probably a bad play now that I think about it) The turn is irrelevant, I knew I had to be good, I thought about it and knew no flushes/fullhouses/straights were possible. Excited, I bet out another 20 or so. Then the RIVER OF DREAMS, sends me an Ace! I have been playing for about a month, and this is the best hand I've ever gotten! Lucky me! The other guy has 80 and I go all in with my 100 and something. He calls and I turn over 4 aces and proclaim: "I KNEW I had that." Probably stupid of me to say but I won about 2500 in the pot or so. Very lucky indeed.

Well u gotta be pleased with a hand like that =)

Some things to consider if it were real money/tourney situation:

If the flop showed an Ace and was a rainbow (eg 3 different suits) AND there was no possibility of a straight, the best move to make in my opinion would be to go all-in straight away. To some people that may sound a tad rash as u obviously have the sort of hand where u could milk the table for all they are worth but u can run into problems on the turn and river.

If the board pairs on the turn u risk losing to a 4 of a kind (although this is unlikely). More importantly, if a backdoor flush/straight drops in on the turn and river bcos u haven't bet ppl out of the pot, u risk losing a lot of money.

You hit the fourth Ace so obviously u were laughing but in future you may wish to be less blinded by the cards and play the other players out. At the end of the day, if u raise pre-flop as u really ought to with AA in the hole, the pot is substantial enough that picking up a smaller win by going all-in after the flop will still give u enuff chips so that u can sit tight for a while til the next nice hand arrives Smile
