So I get invited into a home tourney the other day. My friend calls me up and says, "Dude, there's gonna be a game that I can get you in with this guy I know from work." So I said cool, let me know for sure when you can get me in. So it took him until 3hours before the game to let me know, but I'm not doing anything so I go for it.
I meet him in town and we head over to the game. Two tables in this guys condo, but he had some nice chips and a couple decks of KEM cards, and all the guys there were really cool. 15 guys playing, $20 buy-in,
1st - $160
2nd - $80
3rd - $40
4th - $20
After playing pretty tight most of the night and making a few aggressive moves, (Any good hand I bet. Didn't slowplay the whole night) I end up at the final table of 9 with my buddy the chip leader on my right. He went a little over aggressive and got bumped out around sixth. Last five of us played forever. Nobody wanted to finsih out of the money. After a while I there's four of us.
My stack (which was the big one when the four of us were left) is now the small stack. I had switched gears and was stealing blinds left and right, but the blinds had gotten pretty high and I hit a lousy run of cards for a while. I go all in with 76s I think it was and end up doubling up on a miracle 5 to make a straight on the river. Eventually we make it to heads up. Second hand I get, I'm in the small blind with about a third of the chips. I want his blind and the blinds are huge at this point. I get dealt ducks (quack quack). I look at him for a second, but he hasn't checked his hand so I figure, what the hell. I go all-in. He calls and I get second and $80. Lost another $20 playing a mini with the 7 guys who were left (I was drained at this point), but I didn't want to walk with the money considering it was the first time I'd played with these guys.
Overall a very satisfying night and I felt I played solid all night.

It's pocket deuces.

Ever noticed how a 2 looks like a duck (or any bird with a long neck) on water. I thought it was funny when I read that for the first time.
Great job meatwad!! I hope they'll invite you again, !!

I hope so too. It was a blast and the biggest "in person" game I've played so far. I really felt like I owned the table.

From what I've been able to tell, the poker sized cards are out of stock MOST places (not all) until June. Just do a google search.
