Ok, not only do I need to know WHEN to apply the knowledge of odds, but also how to do it. Let me know if this is right... So you have a deuce 7, flop is J,Q,K. You have 6 outs right, so you multiply that by 4 because there are 2 cards yet to come out. That's a 24% chance of getting a 2 or a 7... why doesn't that sound right? Damn odds

with 6 outs and 2 cards to come, your right it is about 24%. But I wouldn't really consider pairing a 2 or a 7 a viable out with J,Q,K on the flop. You'll certainly lose to a higher pair or a straight. So really you have 0 outs. Your drawing dead in 95% of the games you'll play.
