This scenario has happened to me twice now and want to know if it just me. I am sitting middle table at a casino 5/10 and in small blind with 95os.
2 guys call, but everyone else folds. I figured for $3's I can see flop maybe something good hits the board. BB checks so 4 players.
644 hits the board. I immediately bet repping 3 of a Kind. 2 fold, but a guy at end of table calls.
Q hits board. I immediately bet still trying to bluff. Guy at the end raises. I can tell he doesn't have the 4, but think Q is definately possible maybe a 6. If nothing else, he's got to have better than a 9 high. So, I fold. No big deal. He shows J7 by flipping his cards at me and hitting my hands and chip on the table like he made the bluff of the century.
Now I think he is just trying to tilt me, but by actually hitting me with his cards just made me want to get up and kick his *ss.
All I could say was, "that's alright keep playing that way and you will soon be out of chips."
Satisfyingly he busted out over the next couple hours.
But that's twice I folded a bluff to a bluff and have the guy throw his cards practically in my face like he took down a massive pot in the WSOP.
I mean I have seen bluffs shown before, but not so rudely. Anyone else get this or is it me? Normally, I play laid back and don't really talk much so I don't think I offended him earlier.

not much you can do about it, If it bothered you to the extent of kicking his a$$, call a floor person, thats why they are there, its part of their job to keep the unruley, ruled!!
It looks like he had a read on you if he bluffed your bluff twice....time to switch something up. Or just wair for your monster and chuck it towards him as if you won the WSOP

There is a lot of players like that at the casino I play at. They all think they are on TV or something. I just laugh it off and take their money.

nothin wrong with him showboating. he's an idiot for doing so... but nothing wrong with it.
throwing his cards at you though... i'd be way pissed, and in my opinion he should have gotten a single warning on that one. do it again and you're tossed out.
i think you were right for getting pissed he tossed his cards at you.

I have to agree with this statement. As far as throwing the cards at you, yes, it's rude, but if you laugh at him then you've one-upped him. He was probably trying to tilt you. If you laugh it off, you may even send him on tilt because he didn't get a rise out of you. Don't let rude play affect you. Just keep playing your hands. Eventually you'll have the opportunity to toss them back his way if you feel the need.

Go Leafs.

that sucks that he acted like a dick and threw his cards at you, he should definately be given a warning and if he does it again he should be kicked out.. if nothing happens there are ways you could get him back..
though i wouldnt recommend doing this.. but if you're sitting close enough to him.. you could wait until theres just a few people in a pot (including him) preferably one where he's been raising.. fold, and when you muck your cards, throw them at him.. and make sure they hit his cards.. he'll probably be forced to fold his hand
you could probably get in some trouble for that though.

Well, I have gotten over it. I guess there are always Jack *sses out there. I just find it amusing how he thought he was making a great play but I knew I was laying down a loser. Some guys play $5/10 and act like they just won a gold bracelet in the WSOP, I guess its part of the attraction of the game to them. Besides I saw him bust out and I cashed out over $450 ahead that day. That was satisfaction enough. :D
That being said. I like the way Calgary is playing. I think the OT period they beat Detriot to move up to San Jose was one of the best periods of hockey I have seen in quite some time. At heart I am a Blackhawks fan, but they have sucked for so long it is pathetic.

Know what you mean about Philly and the Sharks, but Tampa i'm not sure. Hard not to like a team that will give you free unlimited beer for buying season tickets.

i like the idea of trying to get the guys hand mucked when you are mucking your own. but really, this kind of behaviour is easily cured by shoving your foot up his ass.

Ok, Tampa is the lesser of the three evils.

Ahh, nutting like the undeniable unique sensibility of the one and only Fat Tony.
Gotta love it.
Even if he's a Philly fan

This is why the only hand I'll show without being called is a royal flush. And no, I've never gotten or seen a royal flush in a live game... (has anyone?)

King high a couple of weeks ago, but not the royal.

I saw a guy get a royal, at my table, the first time I went to a casino. Of course he won the pot, which was big because someone else had a flush that wasn't good enough. Oh yeah, the casino gave him a jacket too.

Yesterday morning, I was in the room playing before I had to head to work...and I was lucky to enough to double up a 100 stack in about 30 minutes. I warned that I would be leaving early...so I figured they would not play with me too much....but alas....to my benefit of course.
As I was leaving, I wished all good luck...and one guys was like, "f*ck you buddy", so I turned around and asked him to identify how many of his chips were sitting in my rack. Not a word as the table laughed their ass off.
Rude players are usually BAD players in my limited experience at a B&M room.

This guy sat down at my table and played a 5-3 offsuit and won the pot. So another guy was like "good hand, its a good thing you knew that was going to beat the good hands that raised preflop"
The guy who played the 5-3 lost it. He was just like "Dont talk to me","Dont talk to me","Dont talk to me","Dont talk to me","Dont talk to me","Dont talk to me","Dont talk to me","Dont talk to me","Dont talk to me" and kept repeating it. Ive never seen a grown man act like that. He was throwing a temper tantrum. The pit boss had to come over and tell them not to talk to each other, i felt so bad for her having to babysit these two grown men. I felt so embarrassed to even be at the same table. If I were her i would have told them once and when they proceeded to be jerks I would have thrown them out. Theres a list and there seats would have filled right back up.

The guy who won threw the fit? Sounds like he has bigger issues than poker...LOL

If he said that to me about winning w/ 35 I would be like....
"Ya I knew, your momma told me when she pulled my crank out of her mouth before she started in on the next dude!"

That guy who threw his cards watched too much WSOP2003 with Hellmuth and Sam Grizzle
oh, and Dave cracks me up :)

I haven't seen any rude players, only obnoxious ones. (drunk)
I play in Las Vegas at the Sahara or in Laughlin at the Riverside.
Both are nice well maintained facilities. On Friday and Saturday
nights the drunks start wandering around the casinos by 9 or 10.
About 3 weeks ago at a 2/4 table one clown was warned twice
to keep his beer off the table and in the beer holder at his side.
They provide each player with a little stand for ashtrays, drinks
and empty chip racks. This nutball was constantly playing out of
turn, folding after everyone called or checked his blind, often
showing his cards etc. He finally got a free escort out of the room
when he dropped his beer onto the table in the middle of a hand.
One other player got beer spilled on her.
The staff were remarkable patient with this guy right up until the
beer abuse. After he was removed, the staff cleaned up his mess
and switched to a new deck of cards. They also comped everyone
at the table with a free meal at the buffet.
About 2 hands after order was restored I was blind and received
A,10 of diamonds. 4 people folded, 2 called and I checked. The flop
had a KQ of diamonds and 4 clubs. I bet 2 and both other players
called. The turn was the J of Diamonds, I bet 4 one person folded
the other called. The players not in were all chanting 10 10 10 10
as the dealer dealt up the 6 hearts for the river card. I bet 4 the
other guy called, 28 in the pot, 4 raked out, my diamond royal won
a whopping 24 bucks of which 12 was mine to begin with. The other
guy had a low diamond flush too and since we both played our hole
cards he was payed 10 bucks, a house prize for having his flush beat
by a higher flush. The Sahara has a nice jackpot system for high
hands getting beat by higher hands.
Anyway I have seen a royal flush and it wasn't really impressive,
I landed much bigger pots with pocket kings or pocket 8s.
As far as rude players are concerned, it's up to the house to
insure everyone is having a great time (while slowly loosing their
money) and a rude player will cause the rest of us to take our
business across the street to another casino. In my opinion the
rude folks should be given one warning and then one free ride out
to the alley by the trash dumpsters.

What tipped you that he didn't have the fours? Lack of a heavier raise?
Posted Mon May 31, 2004 8:45 am GMT by AceyEm
So what if he had all the fours?? The only place that 4 fours beats a royal flush is on a video poker machine with less than 5 coins in.
