Ok, this was an interesting situation that arose in my casino recently.
So I'm playing 5-handed, I'm UTG and pick up QQ. The game is tightish, with some solid regs playing, and one massive fish.
I raise to 35$. Fish OTB 3bets to 70$. I have a stack of ~1800$.
I have a very good read on his preflop play, he basically only minraises w/ QQ-AA. Let's assume he may minraise AK or JJ a very small amount of the time, but I'm pretty sure his range is QQ-AA.
(I've seen him 3bet with junk but I have a very tight image, also that was not a minraise. He tends to do that kind of crap when he's having a good night also, tonight he was not.
Q1. How big do you need his stack to be to make the call preflop?
Part 2.
Flop:
KQ7
Uhhhh... good or bad?
QQ sure isn't in his range anymore, and JJ won't go any further with the hand. AK might, but will probably only bet the flop with Ace clubs, and I don't think he 3bet it anyway.
I check, he bets about 100.
Q2. How big/small should his stack be to go broke here, seeing we basically know he most of the time
A: Has us smashed and drawing to one out.
B: Is behind but is drawing to a bunch of club(sometimes)/Ace outs.
