This forum needs an Advertising Section like the rest have.
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

I'm amazed people do this so frequently. They always write such dumb subject fields:
'Attention Online Poker Players?' gimme a break, u may as well write - SPAM POST
A bit of creativity might have saved u but hey, u've pissed me off now

My lap needs a big titted blonde too. I guess you can't always get what you want. But if you try sometimes, you might just find.....a kick in the nuggets!

Maybe he is right. Put up a spam section, call it advertising. Then maybe it will keep some of the spam out of the forum that the rest of us actually read.

I PMed Adam with that idea last nite so if he sets one up, I'll be redirecting all spam over to it. At least u'll know where to avoid

As a member of several online forums, I'm always amazed at how people open a new account and their first post is pure spam and then act completly surprised when people call it spam.

your not giving them anything. If they see a place to "advertise", most will post there. And everyone knows on the forum to avoid the spam forum. That will probably take away some of the spam from the rest of the forum.

well, you have more faith than i do in their ability to stick to posting crap in the spam forum. call me a cynic, but i bet we'll see guys wanting to get an edge trying to post in non-spam forums. i think this is one of those things that's a good idea in theory, but has the potential to end up being a pain in the ass.

But if they abuse it...

Wot I'm concerned about with that new forum is that when u hit 'View posts since last visit' there will be a stack of crap from that forum. Maybe we will trial it and see how it goes for a while.

Good point Geno, but I suppose we could just finger filter which we click on and don't.
On the other hand, I kinda hate to give even an inch to the spammers.
You'll do whats best I'm sure.
