Question on Cash Game Money Management - HELP!! |

i had been playing mostly 1 table 6 man sng's and then i decided that theres too much luck involved with those, ie horrible bad luck against me, so now im moving to 6 man nlh cash game.
what im wondering is what is the appropriate method to determine how long to play - should i set an amount i want to win & play til i get that, or play for a set period of time? or something else? or just see how it goes each time. thanks!!
