This guy is playing tight. I didn't expect him to have the hand he did? I put his hand range on a lot smaller range than he called with this hand.
Should i of put him on a 6? How would you play this hand? (Mr Darling please come back!!!)

1)Your preflop raise wasnt large enough to price him out-so you cant rule out any 2 cards.
2)Min raise is usually a monster or a draw looking to slow you down. There is no draw out there and it being a check raise, I put him on a hand like yours, a pocket pair, or a 6. I still like the KQ, but I dont feel like I have a lock.
3) His smallish turn and river bets screen out value bet w/ a 6, but given the small size, I pay off these bets.
I think you did OK to only lose what you did.
Another option would be to reraise that flop. Being out of position, he wont likely smooth call because then he likely checks the turn and lets you peal a free one off. He likely pushes all in or pops hard, then you can let it go (IF you can let it go).

I'm just a little confused about the hand. Do you rate him, or did he get lucky?
I've since watched him win (maybe) 4 marginal hands and fold two hands to raises when (he claims) he's had top pair-poor kicker.
The more i watch him, the more i rate him. (He's increased his stack from $25 to $45, yet seems to be making all the right plays)
I'm half tempted to contact support-his plays are that good.
Maybe i was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Dave B nailed it.
KQo is not a monster hand. It can get you into trouble easily, and since it's a dangerous flop, don't look to hit a homerun but try to limit your losses in case you have to worst hand. I think that's exactly what you did, you limited your losses.
The raise on the flop was an indication however that you were most likely beat. If he had a pocket pair, or K-bad kicker, he would've probably only called.

daves post is good.
Your PFR is too small to start. He is obv not playing tight, he had 68s. He open limped too, so he's crap.
Don't post results or you'll get results oriented replies.
This hand is beyond standard, it's like posting KK vs AA preflop and asking why you lost, you're just being results orientated.
The only thing up for debate is whether you should raise turn or not for value, but as played fine

| miaowmiaowchowface wrote: | | Your PFR is too small to start. He is obv not playing tight, | This is the problem i have with the hand. He HAS been playing tight. This is what makes this play so unusual. I have been observing or sat on the table for 40 minutes and he hasn't limped or raised once. Yeah, this could count for nothing, but I would at least suggest it might dictate his style of play.

| I don't usually, but I f**ked up somewhere 'cause i lost the hand. I just wanna know where? I can usually work these things out for myself, but this hand has doesn't add up (partly because of his hand, partley because of his play)
