Hi Guys, first would like to thank those who helped me out 2 weeks ago in my questions about setting up a tournament and dealing the game right.
My boss was really happy with how i dealt the game for him and his clients and they had a good time.
he's asking me to deal another game for him next week!
But there's some difficulties i encountered when i dealt for the players.
Got some more questions and really do hope that you guys can help me out ok? thanks
I've never seen a real croupier deal a good texas tournament game. I would like to find out some information from those who do play in casinos who have croupiers dealing for you guys.
1)some players just don't pay attention, they talk among themselves and eat their snacks and when its their turn, they dun even know. What does a dealer do to ALERT the player that it's his turn to make a decision? what's the language they use? or any hand signals?
2)some players just don't know that they have to wait for their turn to make a decision. at the pre-flop betting, i've always situations whereby when the player to the left of the BB is still thinking, another player down the table just throws his chips in to raise, just disregarding the order of play. The croupier will need to manage this well, does the croupier have to tell that overly excited player to hold his bets first, does he?
3)at the showdown, the player who made the last call will have to open his cards first, am i right? does the player opens the cards HIMSELF? or does the croupier does all this opening cards for them? i've got situations whereby the players don't know that they have to show their cards. does the Croupier TELL them to do so?
4)another situation is whereby the player who is suppose to be SB and BB does not post their blinds. And i've got to frequently ask them if they want to sit out for that hand or post the blinds.. I mean, does the croupier need to tell them all these as well? Doesnt the player make their own initiatives??
5)When a hand is over and the pot is awarded. Croupier keeps all the cards. How does a actual croupier dealing in an actual tournament shuffle the cards?? Can anyone enlighten me on the procedure? I don't wish to just 'simply shuffle'. I really hope to make this look formal and good. Does the shuffle process include a poker strip? how many riffles? any cutting of cards and by which player? any burning of cards before each hand? I understand there's only 1 deck and the deck's gonna be re-used again and again. So, hope to shuffle them properly.
Thanks guys in advance for the information and answers. Really appreciate it.
