Yo, I've definitely been feeling mentally incapable of surviving the downsw0ngs that come with this game, and wondering what you guys think are some general ways of coping with this general sort of thing.
I suffered a 12k downswing last week so banned myself for a week, but since I came back I've lost another 20 or something, and I almost feel as if I can't beat the game at these limits, but I know heaps of the problem is because I seem to tilt pretty hard and don't know how to really control myself at all when I start losing, also I'd try playing lower limits but I can't take it seriously which is even worse. I try to quit when it happens but because I'm addicted to the game and used to playing til I break even this proves extremely difficult for me.
I understand this is an inevitable part of the game but what are general ways to improve ones mentality and strength for this game? I don't really know anyone pokerwise so I don't have ppl to chat about it with who have endured similar experiences

this book really helped me with tilt and such. i think you can get it in the pokerstars fpp store. i already basically knew most of what was in the book, but the way it was described and laid out really helped me with those issues
anyways, some of my own personal ones are. only play when you WANT to play, not just to kill time or whatever. this will make you play your utmost A game when you play which will severely decrease tilt.
i also find playing multiple short sessions is better for me then one long haul, but this is probably different per person. but yeah, when you feel yourself getting actually angry, just log the f*ck out. even though its hard
