Went to the new local poker room the other day. Had a horrible week (my biggest losing cash day as well as my HD decided to burn the very next day) so only brought €650 to what should be a €2/€2 game.
After about an hour play and half a BI down the guys decided to bump it up to 2/4 and I reluctantly agreed.
Few hours later, a couple of bad calls, bad beats and bad timing and am looking at €38 and a empty wallet.
I'm sure I could have gotten credit but it was almost 3am, and I didn't play or run good enough to want to lose more.
Anyway am getting ready to go and sitting on the BTN with 45s. some straddle and some guy limp and I decide this is the hand I'll dbl up. I shove and 4 people call. Someone suggest checking it down and all but the limper agree. Flop is QTx with 2 spade (yeah, FD) SB lead €5 (into a over €140 pot) and all call but the limper... the rest check it down. The river is a lovely spade but BB says flush. Though he shows the one flush I beat 23s.
few hands later I win a coin flip with QQ over AK and I manage to go home with almost €350. Still a big lose, but much better then expected...
