I know the answer to this question has hundreds of variations and depends on many factors. However when entering a poker tourney I always thought the idea was;
In the early stages-to sit tight and wait for good hands, don't take too many risks and simply just survive.
In the middle stages-to start accumilating chips, playing lots of position and maybe start steeling blinds etc.
Now, as I've already mentioned, i appreciate there are many factors that can effect this plan, and you need to adapt accordingly to each situaiton etc etc. I understand this, however assuming we are looking at a massive sample of your tourney play the questions I have are;
1. Do you have a similar game plan for tourney's (as mentioned above) or do you approach things differently? If so, why?
I know some players like to try and accumilate chips early, then use them to bully the table etc.
2. What type of player are you? If you have success by accumilating chips early, do you specifically take chances in the early stages to put you in this position? Obviously, if you do take this approach, it also means you have a greater chance of being knocked out. How do you deal with this?
