Omaha Hi Tourney - Nearing FT

Posted Fri Nov 21, 2008 12:40 pm GMT by LeeG
13 Left in a PLO Tourney. I am 3rd in chips, but field is pretty close (11th in chips has about 1/2 of what chip leader has).

We are 6 handed. Blinds 1K/2K. Action folds to CO (42K) who limps, Button, SB fold. I am in BB (60K) with:
K Club K Spade 9 Diamond T Club and pot it. V calls.

Flop:
A Club Q Club T Spade

I lead out for 1/2 Pot and V jams:

At this point, I am behind everything but I have a great draw.

Thoughts please. It is a $5BI Tourney if that makes a difference. First prize is $290, 13th is $15.

Your draw is not as great as what you think it is. You have the NFD (9 outs) and a gutshot (4). If he has KJ already then you are only drawing to 3 for the gut shot and that's just to tie.

When he jams after you raise a limper (a lot of the time the raiser will have AAxx) and an A flops, I can't see this player going anywhere and you are just going to be gambling.

You may think you have a great draw, but what you need to remember is that Omaha is a 4 card game and draws can run up to 20+ outs. I think you can muck this hand because it's not as if you have lost a huge chunk of your stack and I believe in a vacuum with this move the player is going to showdown and you don't need to risk losing 2/3 your chips with this draw.

If you have additional info on the player then that may sway my decision.
