So I get dealt 66 in the hole BB and check for the flop with 5 callers. Flop drops 6,7,9 and the joker in the SB bets out 300TC. I fold after a long think putting him on at least 77 given that raise (it's still quite early so I'm respecting him......).
Blah blah, 2 in at the river. Laughing boy held J9 and was beat by QQ. Dunno wot do sometimes, I guess I have a tendency to over analyse things but even if he didn't flip 77 or 99 he'd prob have pulled a straight out his ass if I had called!

That does suck. Especially in a tourney where if your wrong your done. You know in a home live game you would of reraised him all in there, got him to call and had a nice big pot to stack while he was still trying to figure out what went wrong.
Honestly the only thing in the world that would of gotten me out of that pot was if I was sure he had the straight. Anything less is getting paid off if he has me beat on that flop, and the straight is probably getting paid off 80% of the time too.
I had the same thing happen to me with pocket 7's in a tourney. The flop comes like 4,5,7. I think ok I have top set, I was hurting a little for chips so I bet half my stack, another guy raises me all in. I gotta call. He has the straight. Next card off is a 5 however....I got the last laugh for him playing 3, 6 in a raised pot.
