Ok, so I've been agressive in position. This particular player struck me as a big fan of 3 betting...and tbh it was working wlel for him...although I had no evidence to suggest he was doing it super light other than i had seem him do it often.
So I have A-Q and make it a my typical $2.50 riase , he re pops me to $8.50, and I decided to flat..
Comes out Q  2  7 ...I had A Q  ...He lead right out for $13 . Pot size was like $18...I flatted, feeling like if I'm good I am only really afraid of a King, and I have Ah...
Turn is 9  ....Surprisingly he bets again, $29...into like $42...I half thought about flatting again to let him blow his stack if hes bluffing, but the jig is up once i call on turn, and now theres 2 flush draws etc... plus pot size is good size...
Is there a case for folding ?
Needless to say I shoved and was not happy with results after river...
Any thoughts from the cash players would be appreciated.

My concern is that his better reflects a high PP, possibly AA or KK.
Imagine is a troubling thing, when you don’t see the showdowns you have only half the story and drawing conclusions can be dangerous.
It works in reverse too, I’ve had many short run’s of good cards where I’ve raised and taken it down pre-flop, but you start to get concerned that other players are assuming you’re just loose. You make a third sequential pre-flop raise, it gets a caller and it’s awkward to play because you’re not sure if they have something or assume you don’t.
It sounds like your at a tight table too which isn’t my preference. I find at low stakes I make more targeting loose players for the occasional big pot compared to picking up small pots and blinds often from a tight table.

lol you say hes aggressive and 3betting wide, cmon man wtf are you thinking, sounds like u got coolered by the way u wrote this
also 4bet pre vs an aggro obviously

I think a flopped set is very likely here too. He could be betting like that to push you off if you are on a flush draw. That's what I do at least if there's a drawy board and hit my set...I'd rather take it down on the flop then let my opponents hit their draw.

I agree with this line of thinking but personally like to alter it slightly depending on how many players are in the hand.
If I’m head up the chances that I’m facing a flush draw are reduced so I bet a little less maybe 1/2 pot. If there are a few players seeing the flop and depending on my position I increase my bet proportionally to about 2/3 pot.
What was the pot on the flop here? $18? His bet was $13. Since he limp/raised you last time you'd think he might try to check/raise you here with trips.

Thanks for comments, I'm never giving him set here, and that didn't entire my mind, but AA/KK were very real possibilities.
I'm probably being results orientated, cos the guy did show up with K-K, but made me feel like I should nearly always give A-Q up to a 3 bet, even though I know I shouldnt.
Eldar made a fair point about 4 betting it here tbh, the only defence I would make is that if he's 3betting light, I like be hellmuth and trappy and let the guy do crazy stuff post flop when I hit.
But since he showed up wiht K-K, my defence is somewhat flawed in this post  .
So yeh, fold or 4 bet is prolly wiser next time.

dude, you are not folding preflop, and you are not folding postflop, just accept the cooler and move on
